Attn. Ms Chapman

I am an owner of Croft Holiday Park in Reynalton and Celtic holiday Parks in Narberth and Summerhill. these parks have 290 static holiday home pitches 195 touring and tent pitches

I write in response to the Consultation on the Holiday Caravan Sites (Wales)Bill. My trade association BH&HPA has responded on behalf of all members and I endorse their evidence on this linkto you.

I ask that you ensure my park businesses are not placed at competitive disadvantage jeopardising the direct and indirect employment we sustain.

I would like to add that the present legalisation does need to be brought up to date If the benefit people stopped paying benefits to people who are supposed to be living on holiday parks and local authorities had affordable houses for them to live in the problem would not occur.

Also remember the recent storms this winter?  Some local authorities actually asked park owners to allow people to live in caravans whilst the homes that had been flooded and damaged were being repaired . The fit and proper person issue. Unless some one has a criminal record who is going to decide who falls into this category . the costs to parks to administer the proposed legislation does not add up either.

i really think we need to go back to the drawing board and not rush though a bill which does have some good points, but most things will cost the parks too much to administer and we would be at a disadvantage as far as competing with the parks in Scotland and England

Sincerely yours
